Domurat began hosting MORE Good Day Oregon for FOX 12 Oregon in September of 2019. She has experience as an anchor, reporter, producer, and filmmaker, and she enjoys meeting new people and hearing their tales. In April of 2008, she began her media career as a news reporter at KULR-TV in Billings, Montana. She’s worked in markets all around the country since then, including Charlotte, North Carolina, and Eugene, Oregon. Domurat is an Emmy Award-winning anchor/reporter with over a decade of narrative experience.
As an intern at KOCE-TV, the local PBS affiliate in Orange County, California, she fell in love with journalism for the first time. She got the opportunity to intern and report at three stations in Orange County and Los Angeles during her education, including KCBS-TV and PBS’ KOCE-TV. She has been touched by numerous stories as a reporter, but the Big Sky Honor Flight from Billings is one of her favorites.It was a vacation that allowed her to see and share the experience of approximately 100 World War II veterans who were visiting Washington, D.C. to see the memorial dedicated to them.
The Fertilizer Plant Explosion in West, Texas, the horrible mass shooting at Umpqua Community College, the Olympic Trials in Track & Field, and President Obama’s visit to Roseburg are just a few of the significant events Domurat has covered and field anchored. She also covered Gov. John Kitzhaber’s resignation and the 2016 Presidential election, featuring then-candidate Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. During Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, she was also the sole local news reporter in the room when he paid a surprise visit to a residence in Billings, Montana.
Domurat is passionate about medical and health reporting. Because of her love and interest in health and science, she has finished numerous semesters of post-baccalaureate education in physical and social sciences. She even worked as a neuroscience research assistant at Cal Poly Pomona’s Department of Biology for a summer. She’s also worked as a community education manager, where she educated the public and advocated for victims of domestic and sexual assault.
