He left Jicho Four to pursue main stage acting at the Kenya National Theatre in 2005. Agengo acted in a number of plays before leaping into the highly competitive film industry. He acted as an extra in a number of Kenyan films including Shika Pata Potea, Crazy Kenyans, and Makutano Junction.
Agengo made his international debut in the film industry when he acted in the comedy Taking The Flak on BBC. He got a chance to play the rebel leader in the film. Agengo landed a role in a film called Lost in Africa in 2010. He landed a role in what was then a prominent Kenyan series called Mali soon after this.
Agengo also got a significant role in the series Kona in 2013. The Wind, a Netflix acclaimed movie, also got a role in The Boy who Harnessed. The celebrity also acted in one of the best Kenyan films Sue Na Jonnie. Agengo also got roles in other shows including Scandals and Warembo Salon.
