Nate joins ABC-7 from ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, where he worked as a Production Assistant on the SportsCenter team. Nate did everything from making feature segments to drafting scripts for the anchors he grew up idolizing while working for SportsCenter.
Nate was also the one in charge of selecting SportsCenter’s “Top 10 Plays.” He was recently a member of the team that introduced ESPN’s first sports betting show, Daily Wager.
Nate earned a Communications/Spanish degree from DePauw (IN) University and worked as the official Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Traveling Anchor for DePauw’s athletic programs. He also worked as an intern for Univision News in Miami.
Nate grew up a few blocks south of Wrigley Field in Downtown Chicago. His favorite team is, of course, the Chicago Cubs. Nate is well-versed in all sports, but his passions are baseball, college football, and college basketball. He lives for noisy gymnasiums and tailgates, and the NCAA Basketball Tournament is a national holiday for him. He can’t wait to see more of the Borderland’s school spirit!
