Larry Kane is an approved  American author and journalist. He works He currently serves as a special contributor for Entercom KYW News radio presently.  Kane worked for the Voice of Reason program on The Comcast Network as a host previously.

He also worked as an NBC Sports Group consultant, NBC’S regional sports networks, and Golf Channel. In 1994, Kane was In addition, inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame additionally.

Larry Kane Career

At the age of 16, Kane’s journalism career began at WQAM. He then worked as a U.S. news correspondent at WAME. Kane became the first correspondent to break the story of the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961 and also served at WFUN.

In 1965, he also worked for WFIL Radio as an anchor and for its sister station WFIL-TV in Philadelphia as the main anchor. WFIL-TV was changed to WPVI-TV and Kane served at the station until 1977. He worked for WABC-TV and would take daily limousine trips to New York City moreover.

Kane served for WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News for one year from 1977 as the anchor. He then worked as a primary anchor for 6 pm and 11 pm newscasts at WCAU-TV. Then a CBS-owned station in 1978 as Channel 10 News.

Kane moved to KYW-TV, an NBC affiliate, and served as an anchor and host of 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.  In 1993 leaving the station on December 23, 2002, after working for 15 years at the station.

Currently, he works for Entercom KYW News radio as a special contributor. Kane was placed into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame in 1994.
