Joe Becker is an American sports anchor and journalist. Presently he serves at KATU in Portland as a sports anchor on the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts. Becker’s TV career commenced in Providence, Rhode Island back in 1979 where he spent 5 years.
He loves all kinds of music and learned to play guitar in his 30s and can also play the bass and some piano. The National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association named Him the Oregon Sportscaster of the Year in 2009.
Becker has been named Sports Announcer of the Year by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters. Furthermore, he also won an Emmy.
