Deb Knapp is an American reporter and anchor. Currently, she works as a KATU-TV ( ABC affiliate) as the station’s anchor. Knapp started working at KATU based in Portland, Oregon in March of 2002. She had her media stint at KSAR-TV prior to joining the station. 

Knapp worked as the station’s weekend weather anchor there. She also served as the anchor of KENS’ 4 p.m as well as 5 p.m. news before joining KSAR-TV.

Knapp started working at KATU based in Portland, Oregon in March of 2002. She commenced her career in Montana serving as an anchor and a reporter. Knapp was among the time that launched the nation’s first state-wide cable news channel called The Ohio News Network in 1996.

The station was based in Columbus Ohio. She was honored with a first-place award due to her extensive documentary on John Glenn’s return to space. Knapp also won a “team Emmy” due to her work with the WBNS, a CBS affiliate based in Columbus.

She reported regularly for WBNS all through her 6 years journey with ONN.  Knapp has become active with Make a Wish of Oregon through KATU. Currently, she is a “wish granter,” and helps to facilitate the wish process for children with challenges such as life-threatening medical conditions.
