Agengo had always been interested in skits and drama right from his primary and high school education. He was part of the drama club in high school prior to his tertiary education. Agengo’s experience in the high school drama club was a good forerunner for the auditions.

Involved him to enable him to break into the acting industry as it were. He featured in a play called Mistake, Back in the 90s, which aired on Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). Agengo, fortunately, auditioned for Jicho Four Productions, a company that specializes in traveling to different high schools to act on set books Upon completing high school.

He left Jicho Four to pursue main stage acting at the Kenya National Theatre in 2005.  Agengo acted in a number of plays before leaping into the highly competitive film industry. He acted as an extra in a number of Kenyan films including Shika Pata Potea, Crazy Kenyans, and Makutano Junction.

Agengo made his international debut in the film industry when he acted in the comedy Taking The Flak on BBC. He got a chance to play the rebel leader in the film. Agengo landed a role in a film called Lost in Africa in 2010.  He landed a role in what was then a prominent Kenyan series called Mali soon after this.

Agengo also got a significant role in the series Kona in 2013. The Wind, a Netflix acclaimed movie, also got a role in The Boy who Harnessed. The celebrity also acted in one of the best Kenyan films Sue Na Jonnie. Agengo also got roles in other shows including Scandals and Warembo Salon.

He got the opportunity to act as Pablo in the thriller 40 Sticks which was streamed worldwide by Netflix in 2010. Agengo also played a role in the play The Perfect Wedding. It is a comic play where he plays the best man to the groom and has to step in to save the groom.  When he finds himself in a compromising situation on his wedding day. It was his boxing that got him the chance to act in Kona.

On Monday, 22nd March, the program kicked off and was set to replace Maria. It airs on Citizen TV from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm every weekday (Monday to Friday). Zora is also produced by Maria’s producer, Jiffy Pictures, a film company owned by Lulu Hassan, and her husband, TV news presenter, Rashid Abdalla.
